🚨 PLEASANTVILLE MAN GETS 18 YEARS FOR ABUSING 11 JUVENILES, NO CHANCE OF PAROLE

Atlantic County authorities say a Pleasantville man has been sentenced to 18 years in state prison for a series of explicit crimes involving multiple juveniles.

On Monday, December 1, Jose Castro-Vega, 60, was sentenced after pleading guilty in July to first-degree aggravated explicit contact, second-degree explicit contact, and fourth-degree criminal explicit contact.

Superior Court Judge Donna M. Taylor, J.S.C., ordered an 18-year aggregate sentence—and prosecutors emphasize that Castro-Vega must serve every single day with no eligibility for parole.

According to officials, the case began on October 27, 2023, when the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit received an allegation that Castro-Vega had engaged in explicit conduct with a juvenile. Investigators later determined he had abused at least eight juveniles dating back to 2021.

He was arrested the next day and has remained in custody at the Atlantic County Justice Facility since.

After the case became public, three more juvenile victims came forward, raising the total number of known victims to 11. In his plea, Castro-Vega admitted to sexually assaulting seven of the victims and engaging in inappropriate contact with four others.

Once his 18-year sentence is complete, Castro-Vega will be required to register under Megan’s Law and will be placed on Parole Supervision for Life, officials said.
