A massive three-alarm fire tore through a South Plainfield home early Wednesday, leaving multiple people injured.
Fire crews rushed to the 200 block of Cedarbrook Avenue as heavy flames engulfed the two-story house, quickly escalating the response to a third alarm.
At least three people were hurt, including one person who reportedly jumped from a second-floor window to escape the fire. One victim was believed to be in critical condition.
All injured occupants were taken to area hospitals. Crews were still working the scene early Wednesday, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
