
LITTLE FERRY SENIOR CHARGED WITH TWO YEARS OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE, ARRESTED IN NEWARK
A 71-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor over a two-year period, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, led by Chief Matthew Finck, and the Little Ferry Police Department, under Chief James Walters, launched an investigation after receiving a report on June 15, 2025, alleging past sexual assaults involving a minor.
Detectives determined that Imri Osmani, of Little Ferry, allegedly assaulted and endangered the child multiple times between May 2018 and May 2020.
Following the investigation, Osmani was charged on July 3, 2025, with:
- First-degree aggravated sexual assault (N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1))
- Second-degree sexual assault (N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b)
- Two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor (N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1))
On November 16, 2025, Osmani was located and arrested in Newark with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations, the Port Authority Police Department of NY & NJ, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
He was transported to the Bergen County Jail, where he remains held pending a detention hearing in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
