A Deptford man has been arrested after authorities say he attempted to meet what he believed was a 14-year-old boy for sexual activity following online communications.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said Joseph J. Catrambone, 38, faces multiple charges, including attempted manufacturing of child sexual abuse material, attempting to lure a minor, and attempted sexual assault of a minor.
Prosecutors said the investigation began January 7, 2026, when Catrambone contacted an individual he believed was a teenage boy. The person was later identified as an undercover detective with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit.
Authorities allege Catrambone sent explicit images, discussed sexual acts, and arranged a meeting. He was arrested without incident later that day at a pre-arranged location in Collingswood and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
The investigation remains ongoing.
